India has launched its first-ever astronomy tourism campaign in Uttarakhand, named 'Nakshatra Sabha Campaign'. It is aimed at creating a destination for celestial admirers.
The campaign offers tons of activities such as stargazing, astrophotography contests, special solar observations, and camping under the star-filled night sky.
The tourists will also get access to state-of-the-art telescopes and guidance from trained experts. It also includes seminars and webinars about the secrets of the universe.
The first campaign will be held in early June at George Everest in Mussoorie. The campaign might later expand to districts like Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Nainital, and Chamoli.
People can register on the Starscapes website for the event. The fee is Rs 999 per person and does not include accommodation and meals.
