National Shooting Championship

Monika represented Rajasthan at the 67th National Shooting Championship in Bhopal, winning gold and bronze medals in the 50m rifle event, along with a silver medal.

Monika has won over 20 medals in national and international championships. However, shooting was never a childhood hobby or interest for her.

Job in Delhi after MBA

Monika started working in Delhi after completing her MBA. During a visit to a shooting academy, she was inspired by the players and decided to pursue shooting herself.

Leaving the job

Monika quit her high-paying job to pursue shooting, and her parents, Vijaypal Singh and Vimla, were initially hesitant but eventually supported her decision.

Her coach gave her a 10-m air rifle on rent & she began practicing. Monika qualified for the Nationals in her very first attempt, and from there, she never looked back.
