Dengue Fever

Dengue, which is carried by Aedes mosquitoes, causes joint pain and a high temperature. When using repellents, get rid of any standing water.

Zika Virus

Zika is spread by Aedes mosquitoes, which can result in fever and rash. When pregnant, stay away from locations where outbreaks are occurring and wear repellent.

Chikungunya

It is also spread by Aedes mosquitoes and is extremely painful to the joints. Wear long sleeves and insect repellant to protect yourself.

West Nile Virus

This virus can cause neurological symptoms and is carried by Culex mosquitoes. Steer clear of outdoor activities at dusk and dawn, and apply repellent.

It is spread by the Aedes and Haemagogus mosquitoes and results in liver damage and fever. Avoiding mosquito bites and getting vaccinated is crucial.
