This remarkable fort was completed in 8 years. The reason it is famous is because it is invincible and inaccesible for attackers. It is also called the Iron Fort of India.

Failed attempts to win the fort

The surrounding walls of the Lohagarh Fort are so thick that when a cannonball is fired, it sinks into the wall, resulting in a cooling effect of its fired force.

Lohagarh Fort was attacked 13 times by the British forces

After multiple failed attempts, they eventually ceased their attacks.

The invincibility of the fort lies in the fact that its walls are made of mud. The strong walls can withstand powerful forces.

Lohagarh fort is divided into three parts distinct parts

Namely, Mahal Khas, Kamra Mahal, and Badan Singh Mahal. Jawahar Burj and Fateh Burj are notable towers of the fort.
