Sudha Murty, the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation, is a recipient of the Global Indian Award.
In 2023, Sudha Murty received the award from the Canada India Foundation (CIF) at a prestigious Indo-Canadian event in Toronto, with a total value of $50,000.
The Global Indian Award is presented annually by the CIF to recognize and honour an outstanding Indian personality.
Narayana Murthy was also honoured with the Global Indian Award in 2014.
Sudha Murty and Narayana Murthy hold the distinction of being the first husband-wife duo in India to receive the Global Indian Award.
Sudha Murty generously donated the $50,000 prize money to the Field Institute at the University of Toronto.
