During the monsoon season, the dampness of clothes can cause skin infections. Therefore, it’s important to take extra precautions to protect babies from infection.
You can bathe your baby on alternate days. However, ensure that the baby’s clothes always remain dry.
Use lukewarm water for bathing your baby and add a small amount of antiseptic solution to it.
Before mixing the solution to the water, do a patch test on the skin and ensure its safety. Do make sure the water doesn’t get in baby’s eyes.
If you use a tub, avoid letting babies stay in it for too long during monsoon season.
After the bath, ensure the baby’s body is completely dry before putting on clothes.
Use high-quality and rash-free diapers. Using cloth diapers can also be gentle on baby’s skin.
