Start with a white sheet of cardboard or large white paper. This will be the base of your flag.
Measure and mark three horizontal sections on the white base. The top and bottom sections will be orange and green, and the middle section will remain white.
Cut out a strip of orange paper or fabric that is the width of the top third of the flag. Similarly, cut out a strip of green paper or fabric for the bottom third.
Glue the orange strip to the top third of the white base and the green strip to the bottom third.
Draw or trace a 24-spoke Ashoka Chakra in the center of the white middle section. You can use a blue circular sticker for the Chakra or cut one out from blue paper.
Using a black marker or paint, draw the Chakra’s 24 spokes. You can find templates online if needed, or draw it freehand.
Make sure all the stripes and the Ashoka Chakra are neatly placed and secured. Check for any loose edges and glue them down if necessary.
Allow the glue and paint to dry completely before handling the flag. Your DIY Indian flag is now ready to be used for your kids' school project!
