Amla, also known as Indian Gooseberry, offers several health benefits. However, did you know that tea prepared using amla can also help you in shedding pounds?
Amla is abundant in vitamins, fibre, folate, antioxidants, phosphorous, iron, carbohydrates, omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and calcium.
Regular consumption of amla promotes liver health. For most benefits, you can consider consuming amla tea twice a day.
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add 1 crushed amla to the boiling water. Stir in ½ tsp of cinnamon and a pinch of black pepper.
Finally, add a pinch of black salt. Add 1 tsp of honey for sweetness or you can skip this step. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes. Strain the tea and serve it hot.
