Inspiring journey of Mohanlal Jakhar
Young IAS officer Mohanlal Jakhar from Barmer has been allocated the Rajasthan cadre after securing the 53rd rank in the 2023 UPSC exam.
IAS Mohanlal Jakhar is from Bhadkha village in Barmer. His parents, Chandram Jakhar and his mother, never attended school.
Despite their own illiteracy, Mohanlal's parents never stopped him from going to school. They worked hard to ensure he received the best education.
Mohanlal Jakhar not only cleared the UPSC exam but also succeeded in the RAS exam prior to that. However, his ultimate dream was to become a Collector.
Mohanlal cleared the UPSC exam in his fourth attempt at the age of 26.
Mohanlal desired the Rajasthan cadre and Barmer district, and with his rank, he secured both. This has created a celebratory atmosphere in his small village.
