From Miss India to UPSC

Aishwarya Sheoran is a resident of Rajasthan. Before joining the civil services, she held the title of Miss Delhi and reached the finals in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant.

Aishwarya attended Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri. She graduated from SRCC, University of Delhi.

Aishwarya’s father, Ajay Sheoran is a colonel in the Indian Army. Her mother, Suman is a homemaker.

The inspiration

Aishwarya’s mother named her after the Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai, as she wanted her daughter to become Miss India.

The journey

Aishwarya ventured into modelling to accomplish her mother’s dreams. In 2014, she won the title of ‘Clear Face Fresh’ in Delhi.

Reaching the finals of Miss India beauty pageant

In the year 2014, Aishwarya won the title of ‘Miss Delhi’. Subsequently, she participated in Femina Miss India in 2016, and became one of the top 21 finalists.

Clearing the UPSC exam in first attempt

Aishwarya had dreamed of joining the civil services. With ten months of self-study, she appeared for the 2018 UPSC exams, and successfully cracked it in her first attempt.

Working as a diplomat in France

Aishwarya secured an impressive 93rd rank in the UPSC exams and accomplished her goal of becoming an IFS officer. Presently, she is working as a diplomat in France.
