After completing his higher studies from NIT Warangal and Czech Technical University, he began working for a private company in Hyderabad.

UPSC journey
Amrit Jain gave his first UPSC attempt in 2016 without any preparation. He then studied for a year and retook the exam in 2017, but narrowly missed by a margin of 0.66 marks.

Cracking UPSC
Amrit Jain’s hard work paid off in the 2018 UPSC when he secured a position in the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) cadre.

In his UPSC attempt in 2019, he secured 321st rank. He achieved 96th rank in 2021 and 179th rank in 2021, securing IPS cadre.
