Shrikant Jichkar is recognized as India’s most educated person. He earned numerous degrees from 42 international universities and was also elected as an MLA at the age of 26.
Shrikant Jichkar held a total of 20 degrees, including, MBBS, MD, Master of Law, and degrees in Journalism, English Literature, Sociology, and Political Science.
Shrikant Jichkar was an exceptional student since childhood. From 1973 to 1990, he appeared in 42 university examinations.
Shrikant Jichkar cracked UPSC in 1976 and was appointed as a Central Civil Servant. In 1980, he resigned from the post and reappeared for the UPSC exams, achieving the rank of IAS.
Within four months of service as an IAS officer, Shrikant Jichkar resigned and entered politics. At 26, he became an MLA in Maharashtra.
Tragically, Shrikant Jichkar bid farewell to the world in June 2004, losing his life in a road accident near Nagpur.
