IAS Abhishek Jain is only 24 and has cracked UPSC twice

Abhisek made the headlines after becoming an IAS officer in UPSC 2020 batch.
 

Abhishek was appointed in Chirang district of Assam. He prepared for UPSC exams after completing B Com from Delhi University. 
 

His grandfather used to work under an IAS officer. Abhishek’s uncle was also associated with civil services.
 

At 24, Abhishek Jain attempted the UPSC exam twice, and became a top scorer in both of those attempts. 
 

In his first UPSC attempt, Abhishek Jain secured an impressive 111th rank and joined the IRS cadre. 
 

In his second attempt in 2019, he achieved the 24th rank and successfully became an IAS officer. 
 

IAS Abhishek Jain is currently serving as the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Bijni, Chirang district of Assam. 
 

IAS Abhishek Jain recently launched an initiative to renovate and upgrade the boundary walls of the SDO’s office. 
 

The office’s walls now showcase the paintings and scriptures unique to the state of Assam. 
 

The wall also works as an information board that displays various Central and State Government schemes.
