Rajdeep Singh was asked about his transition from the medical profession to UPSC. They asked him whether he was confused about his aspirations.

that he always wanted to work in the government sector. He highlighted that it provides ample opportunities to make an impact on people’s lives.

Interview question

The capital of Punjab and Haryana is Chandigarh. Why hasn’t there been any call for developing another city similar to Chandigarh?

Rajdeep's answer

During the partition of Punjab, it was agreed that Haryana would designate another capital while Chandigarh will remain the capital of Punjab.

However, both states continue to claim Chandigarh, leading to ongoing conflict.
