A tragic accident

In 2008, when Devanshi was in grade 10, an infatuated boy carried out an acid attack on her. She suffered burns on her face.

A new life

Fearing further attacks, Devanshi left Bareilly and enrolled in a boarding school in Delhi.

Devanshi lived at her relative’s home

Her uncle tried to sexually harass her; she managed to call for help and escaped from the situation.

'Ram Ashray Welfare Society’

In 2018, Devanshi established an NGO named ‘Ram Ashray Welfare Society’ in honour of her father. The organization strives to help underprivileged children.

Devanshi is a pillar of support

She provides computer training and mental health sessions to children residing at railway stations. She also rescues young girls from human trafficking.

At 27, Devanshi expressed her wish to adopt a child

Despite facing resistance from her mother and grandma, she managed to persuade both of them to agree with the decision.

In 2019, she adopted her first child named Vanmayi, and in 2022, she adopted two girls from Uganda.
