Meet Aman Sehrawat

Aman Sehrawat is a 21-year-old wrestler from Birohar, Haryana. He is a student of Chhatrasal stadium who brought pride to the nation with a bronze in Paris Olympics 2024.

Aman Sehrawat's record

Aman Sehrawat broke the record of PV Sindhu for being the youngest Olympic medalist. The wrestler dedicated his medal to his parents and the country.

Early life

Aman Sehrawat initially did mud wrestling in Haryana. At the age of 10, his father enrolled him in Chhatrasal stadium. Unfortunately, his father passed away when Aman was 11.

Chhatrasal Stadium has a history of producing Olympic medalists including Sushil Kumar Bajrang Punia, Yogeshwar Dutt, and Ravi Dahiya. Aman enrolled in 2013.

As a teenager, Aman solidified his position as a promising wrestler with a bronze at the Asian U20 Championship and gold at the Asian U23 Championships.

Aman Sehrawat entered the Paris Olympics with extreme pressure and defeated Puerto Rican Darian Toi Cruz 13-5. Even with a bleeding nose, he secured a medal for India.
