Lok Sabha Elections 2024 are over now, and Narendra Modi has been sworn in as prime minister of India for the third time.
A prime minister holds the utmost power and responsibilities in India. As PM, Narendra Modi will be in charge of the functioning of the nation and its development.
As PM of India, Modi will reportedly receive a salary of Rs 1.66 lakh per month, making it around Rs 20 lakh per year.
The PM receives a basic salary of Rs 50,000, an expense allowance of Rs 3,000, a parliamentary allowance of Rs 45,000, and a daily allowance of Rs 2,000.
The Prime Minister also receives several perks with his salary. One of the biggest is the official house given to him at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
The prime minister also gets Special Protection Group (SPG) security and access to Air India One, an exclusive aircraft service for official visits.
PM Modi will only travel in a Mercedes-Benz S650 Gaurd. As per reports, the car can withstand bullets and assaults from AK-47 rifles.
After retirement, the prime minister receives accommodations, free electricity, water, and SPG security for the next five years.
While submitting his election affidavit, Modi declared personal assets totaling Rs 3.02 crore, with no investments in bonds, shares, or mutual funds.
