As per the Union Budget 2024, the customs duty on specified telecom equipment have been increased to 15% from 10%.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the custom duty on non-degradable plastic has risen to 25%.

Petrochemicals like PVC

As per the new Union Budget 2024, the customs duty on petrochemicals like polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), has risen to 10% from 7.5%.

Due to increased tax collection at source (TCS) announced by FM Sitharaman under Union Budget 2024, air travel and abroad travel has gotten more expensive.
