Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple, Vellore, Tamil Nadu

Built by the Sri Narayani Peedam organization in 2007, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. It is wrapped in 1500 kg of gold leaf and is one of the most expensive temples.

Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Padmanabhaswamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu with a 100-foot-tall gold-covered gopuram (tower). The temple walls, pillars, and roofs are also covered in gold.

Golden Temple, Amritsar, Punjab

Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is covered in 24-karat gold and is surrounded by a sacred pool called Amrit Sarovar, which is believed to have healing powers.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

The Kashi Vishwanath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's one of the 12 jyotirlingas. The temple's domes are covered in 800 kg of gold donated by the Maharaja of Indore in 1839.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi. The temple walls are covered in gold with a 40 kg golden idol of goddess Mahalakshmi.
