State Bank of India- Rs 17,649 Crore Tax

The leading national bank, State Bank of India, is also paying the highest tax. It is in 2nd place after Reliance.

HDFC Bank- Rs 15,350 Crore Tax

HDFC Bank, which has made its mark in the private sector,  paid Rs 15,000 crore in tax.

Tata Consultancy Services- Rs 14,604 Crore Tax

Tata Consultancy Services is ranked 4th in the list of highest taxpayers in the country. 

ICICI Bank

ICICI is also one of the highest tax paying companies in India.

ONGC

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), one of the government's Navratna companies, is also among the top 6 highest taxpayers. 

Tata Steel

Tata is a proud company of India. This company, which has made its mark in the Indian industry over the years, is paying over Rs 10,160 crore in taxes.

Coal India Limited

This company also paid Rs 9,876 crore in taxes. 

Infosys

Infosys, the IT company founded by Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy, paid Rs 9,214 crore in taxes.

Axis Bank

Four banks are among the 10 most prestigious companies in India. Axis Bank, one of them, also pays Rs 7,703 crore in taxes.
