Early corporate life

Nidhi Yadav worked at Deloitte and dreamt of making it big in the fashion industry. She worked hard to gain experience in the field and get familiar with the ins and outs.

Taking risks

Nidhi quit her job and moved to Italy to pursue a one-year course at the Polimoda Fashion School. She even bagged a job in Italy but she moved back to India to start her career.

New beginnings

Nidhi founded her clothing brand named Aks in 2014 with an investment of just Rs 3.50 lakh. The brand targeted women from ages 18-35 and provided ethnic wear at affordable prices.

Making changes in COVID

During the COVID-19 outbreak, business and production were closed. To ensure the staff gets salaries, the brand started producing PPE kits and masks which was also successful.

Finding new success

Aks' evaluation grew to Rs 1.60 crore in 2014. In 2019-20 the brand generated revenue of Rs 100 crore. In an interview, Nidhi revealed the brand's plan to cross Rs 500 in 2023-24.
