Early struggles

He was born into a cotton dealer family in Punjab. He had to give up his studies at the mere age of 14 due to financial stress and started doing odd jobs to survive.

Journey to the top

He worked as a candle maker for Rs 30 per day. After years of menial work, he decided to start his own business. He started a fertilizer company named Abhishek Industries in 1985.

In 1991, he started a joint company, Katai Mill, from where he delved into the textile and paper industry and established Trident Group. He has several units in Punjab and MP.
