Lagos: A Nigerian man jumped out of a bush and climbed onto an aircraft's wing that was ready to take off as he tried to enter the plane's cabin. The incident took place with an Azman plane on July 19, 2019, at the domestic section of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
One of the passengers from the plane shared video on his Instagram account and gave details of what was happening.
He captioned the videos, "Guys this is an emergency. For 30 minutes we have been stuck at the runway at MMIA by an unidentified man who ran to the aircraft with a bag.” He further stated that security had not shown up, leaving everyone in a panic.
He later went on to share an update, "Dear Nigeria! Update: He has finally been apprehended and we've all disembarked from the flight. FAAN authorities showed up 23 minutes into the scene but were scared to approach him. Security eventually shows up after 37mins."
The man was caught by the airport security and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) later released a statement on their official Twitter account where they identified the man as Usman Adamu. However, the reason behind him taking such an action is still unclear.
