New York: Trucks carrying digital ads, highlighting atrocities against minorities in Karachi, were seen in New York which is currently holding the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The digital banners were seeking an end to human rights violations against religious minorities in Pakistan. The anti-Pakistan protests were launched by Voice of Karachi (VoK), an advocacy group based out of the US. “Atrocities are being committed against Mohajirs, it has been going on for decades, we have lost more than 25,000 lives and there have been thousands of forced disappearances. We want to apprise the world of our situation caused by Pakistan,” said Wasay Jalil, executive director of VoK.
