Two Kerala police officers suspended for beating man in public

Thiruvananthapuram: A video is going viral, where two policemen can be seen brutally beating a man in public. The incident occurred at Thiruvallam, Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram. The footage was captured by a pedestrian, which depicts the policemen brutally beat the man and later when the man's wife resisted the officer in beating her husband, the officer also kicked her. The man can be seen stamping by the officer and he was in a semi-naked state. 

As soon as the video of the incident spread through social media, the Kerala police took action against the policemen who beat the accused as well as the woman. The city police commissioner suspended ASP O Saimon and CP O Gopinath, who were beating the man.

According to sources, Aneesh, the man who was beaten by the police is a criminal. He was arrested for several cases including the one in which he attacked women and POCSO cases. As he was trying to escape from the police station, the police officer had to chase him and beat him.
