Thrissur: IPS officer Jacob Thomas who was suspended by the Kerala government said that Jai Shri Ram should be chanted more. Addressing a Ramayana fest, Thomas made this statement. He also said that Ram is known for truthfulness, justice, righteousness and moral ethics. 

Days ago, from filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan to Mollywood actress Revathi, many celebrities wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over their concerns on increasing cases of lynching and religious hate crimes across the nation. The main concern of the people, who signed the letter addressed to Narendra Modi was the dangerous trend of increasing mob lynching incidents "regrettably associated with 'Jai Shri Ram' chants".
