Modi govt’s historic decision to set up Ram Mandir Trust

Bengaluru: The PM was applauded in Lok Sabha after making the announcement in which he said that the Ram Mandir Trust would be called Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The Supreme Court held that the deity and the birthplace are recognised in law as judicial entities. The court awarded the title to Ram Lalla to be held by the Trust. The court had also said that the trust be set up in three months. On November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court said that a trust with a board of trustees or any other appropriate body under the Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act 1993 with powers including the construction of a Ram Temple shall be set up.
