Wayanad: Maoists have made their presence again in Wayanad district, Kerala. A group of maoists reached a Wayanad native Thomas's house and demanded food. When Thomas hesitated to provide food, the maoists threatened him with their guns. They requested rice and other groceries and collected nearly 2.5 kg of the grain for the family members.
With maoists being sighted again in Wayanad, the police and the district administration may face a big challenge in the days to come. Earlier, a maoist was killed in a gunfight with Kerala Police in Wayanad. The gunfight occurred around 8:30 pm on March 6, which continued till March 7 morning.
