Maha Shivratri tragedy: Telangana devotees fall into 'agni kund', 10 injured

Suryapet: At least 10 people were injured in the Maha Shivaratri procession at Ekareshwarar temple at Pillalamarri village in Suryapet district, Telangana. The incident occurred while taking the Shiva-Parvathi idols on procession and crossing the pond of heated charcoal (agni kund) at the temple on the occasion of Shivaratri. Those gathered immediately pulled the people out of the pond of coal and prevented major injuries.
