Another gangrape comes to the fore in Unnao; victim attempts to immolate self

Unnao: Another gangrape comes to the fore at a time when the country is now witnessing investigation in the Unnao gangrape that involves expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar.
The incident comes from Makhi village when the rape survivor was allegedly kidnapped from her house on July 1 and raped by three men. She then lodged a complaint with the police, but she alleged that no arrests were made in the case. The rape survivor and her mother then approached the district magistrate seeking justice where they attempted to immolate themselves. They were prevented from setting themselves on fire by alert security personnel. The victim claimed that the accused were now threatening her with dire consequences. Circle officer Gaurav Tripathi, meanwhile, said that one of the accused had already been arrested and sent to jail while the two others are still absconding. He assured that they would be arrested soon.
