Chittoor: Days after a 23-year-old Naidu community woman, married to a Dalit man, was allegedly abducted and killed by her father and other family members, the Palamaner Police on Monday (July 1) arrested five people in connection to the murder case.
The accused are identified as Bhaskar Nayadu, Varalakshmi, Akhila, Bhanu Prasad and Charan Nayudu, who were absconding after they allegedly kidnapped and murdered a woman from their own family on June 28.
According to Palamaner Police officials, the alleged accused reportedly said that though the two were majors, the family members were against their marriage and also warned them not to enter the village as the villagers were against their intercaste marriage. The victim's father also said that they had no intention to kill their daughter, but their anger cost their daughter's life.
