The night of 2-3 December 1984 changed life for everyone in Bhopal. Even 35 years after the world’s worst industrial disaster that claimed 3787 lives in one night and left over 5,00,000 permanently ill, survivors and victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy continue to bear the brunt of the deadly gas leak from the Union Carbide plant. However, two women Rashida Bee and Champa Devi Shukla stood strong to fight for the rights of hundreds of women and provide support to second and third generations of disabled children.
