Kottayam: Kerala’s veteran Congress leader KM Mani will not participate in the Lok Sabha election campaigns for the first time since 1965 as he is unwell. Mani is one of India’s longest-serving legislators and represented Pala constituency in Kottayam ever since it was formed in 1965.
He was earlier admitted to a private hospital in Kochi. Crucial party decisions are being taken by his son Jose K Mani and his wife Nisha Jose to appease their loyalists.
