Mumbai-based travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar, 27, tragically died after falling into a gorge while shooting an Instagram Reel. The accident occurred on July 16 at the Kumbhe waterfall in Maharashtra's Raigad district, where Aanvi had gone for a monsoon outing with seven friends.

Aanvi Kamdar, a chartered accountant known for documenting her travels under the Instagram handle @theglocaljournal, slipped into a 300-foot-deep gorge while trying to capture the beauty of the waterfall. According to a police official, her friends immediately alerted local authorities, prompting a swift rescue operation.

Local rescuers, along with support from the Coast Guard and the Kolad rescue team, rushed to the scene. They faced challenges due to heavy rain and falling rocks, making the rescue more difficult. After a six-hour operation, Aanvi was pulled from the gorge, but unfortunately, she had sustained serious injuries.
