Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal, while speaking at a Board Of Trade meeting, said that maths did not help Einstein discover gravity. So, what did Newton discover then? Twitterati is going crazy over this speech.
New Delhi: Union commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal spoke about Einstein and gravity, and Twitterati cannot stop trolling him.
Speaking at a Board Of Trade meeting in New Delhi, he said "Maths never helped Einstein discover gravity. If he(Einstein) had only gone by structured formulae and past knowledge I don't think there would've been any innovation in this world," said Goyal.
He was answering a question by a journalist on how India can reach $ 5 trillion target in economy. To this, Goyal asked him not to go by maths.

But what about Newton who truly discovered the law of gravity then? Even while issuing a clarification, Goyal stuck to Einstein.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal's clarification on his recent comments: The comment that I made had a certain context. Unfortunately some friends have sought to remove the context, pickup one line and create a very mischievous narrative. https://t.co/34nn1x3IlSpic.twitter.com/iK7UyU8Q12
