It's unfortunate that the world still knows little about Sikkim outside of Gangtok, Gurudongmar Lake, and a few places in North Sikkim. This tiny north-eastern Indian state offers a lot more to offer weary travelers.
Sikkim, hidden in the Eastern Himalayas, is known for its magnificent scenery, vibrant culture, and quiet monasteries. While major tourist locations such as Gangtok and Nathula Pass attract travelers from all over, there's something appealing about discovering eccentric destinations that provide a unique and less-traveled experience.
In this article, we'll look at the lesser-known treasures of Sikkim, the eccentric sites that offer an amazing adventure.
1. Rolep:
A little, lovely Virgin village. Nestled in nature, hidden away like a secret, Located at an elevation of 4000 feet and 20 kilometers from Rongli in East Sikkim, It's a refuge on the slopes of the undulating green Himalayan foothills, with views of the Rangpo Khola River Valley.
2. Lachen:
Lachen, located in North Sikkim, is a charming settlement that serves as the gateway to the magnificent Gurudongmar Lake. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, this unusual jewel is a retreat for anyone seeking peace in the midst of nature's magnificence. 3. Ravangla:
Ravangla, located in South Sikkim, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range. Adventurers can explore the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary or go to Buddha Park, which has a spectacular Buddha statue that overlooks the town. Ravangla is a wonderful feast for nature lovers.
4. Singtham Village:

The village of Singtham, surrounded by trees on one side and fields on the other, is ideal for wandering and experiencing traditional village life.
5. Borong:
A lovely village nestled in the southern region of Sikkim. Located at an altitude of 5,800 feet, it gives its tourists a wonderful view of the majestic. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Siniolchu, Mt. Narsing, and Mt. Pandim are among my favorite mountains. Hike up the Rangil River for a thrilling experience.
