The National Commission for Women (NCW) had earlier asked Kerala MLA PC George to appear before it on Thursday. But, his counsel came on his behalf and stated that the MLA could not present himself due to an unavoidable circumstance.

Kerala: Commission chairman Rekha Sharma had sought action against George, who condemned the nun at a press conference held in Kottayam on Sunday. George has been asked to meet the Commission in person at 11:30 am on September 20.
