The Devaswom Board has much bigger problems to handle than the entry of menstruating women into Sabarimala. The threat of defecation in open, the capacity of sewage collection tanks that have been compromised and the problems caused by simple flower garlands confront this place in Kerala.

The Kerala government's stand on the verdict of the Supreme Court regarding women's entry into Sabarimala has invited the wrath of many citizens. 
 

Travancore Devaswom Board president A Padmakumar said, 'As far as Sabarimala is concerned, the thantri society is the parental authority. If there is any problem in Sabarimala, they will find a solution to it.'
