Water Pollution  

India is named after the sacred Indus River and has several divine rivers flowing through its land, providing water to all life forms in the nation. Although water pollution has become a big problem, there are still some rivers in India with clean and pristine water that should be protected. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is in Mumbai urged people to ensure that water does not get polluted in a bid to immerse Ganesha idols. The state, well known for its celebration of Ganesha Chaturti immerses idols of all sizes into water bodies. 

People have demanded that the water should be treated by industries at least three times before leaving it to the KC Valley. The Valley has turned green due to the release of untreated and pollutant-filled water
