 The railways has decided to convert around 5000 coaches into isolation wards in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak and the surge in the number of affected cases.

Indian Railways all set to convert its coaches and cabins into isolation wards in rural and remote areas. 

In a press release, chief PRO VR Joglekar stated that passenges with a history of travel to China are being screened with a thermal scanner. The dangerous coronavirus has claimed as many as 600 lives in China.

Two youths were admitted to the isolation ward of the Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College Hospital in Kerala with symptoms of Nipah virus. Presently, they are under observation.
