Several telecommunications companies in India have increased their recharge data plan prices. However, one company has also removed its unlimited data service and reduced benefits along with hiking up the price. 

The growing issue of telecom equipment theft, which is causing significant losses for telecommunications businesses and interfering with consumer services, has prompted the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) to call for swift action from the government.
 

Vodafone Idea and Airtel will suitably increase the prices of its tariffs effective December 1, 2019, both companies said in separate statements.

The result has been revealed by the data released by the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) on Tuesday.
