Homi Jehangir Bhabha, often referred to as the Father of the Indian Nuclear Programme, was the founding director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. On the 24th January, 1966, he met a tragic end when Air India Flight 101 crashed near Mont Blanc while he was travelling to Vienna for a conference. Many believe that the crash wasn’t an accident but premeditated assassination carried out by American intelligence agencies to thwart India’s nuclear programme.

The Lander Vikram was to soft-land on the far side of the moon at on September 7. Minutes before its scheduled soft-landing, the communication with Vikram Lander was lost. It was 2.1 km above the moon's surface when it lost contact with ground stations.

Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram lander landed within 500 mts of the landing site on the moon’s surface, said the government. The indigenously developed Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft comprising of orbiter, lander and rover was successfully launched on-board the indigenous GSLV MK III-M1 Mission on July 22.

Keeping the environment in mind, the Indian Railways has taken the decision to implement Kulhad scheme. From the new year, tea will be available in Kulhad instead of plastic at the Bhagalpur station of Bihar. In the first phase, it will be implemented as an experiment in Vikramshila Express and Later on, it will be implemented in other trains as well.

NASA has found no evidence of Chandrayaan 2’s Vikram lander in its flyby of its Moon orbiter. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had attempted a soft landing on September 7 but lost communication with the lander just minutes before the scheduled landing time.
