Veer Savarkar  

A principal of a government-run school in Madhya Pradesh was suspended for distributing notebooks having a photo of Veer Savarkar on them. 

Uddhav Thackery, the Maharashtra CM and the head of the Shiva Sena has kowtowed and bent over backwards to the demands of the coalition members NCP and Congress. Veer Savarkar, the one which the party adores so much has been humiliated by the Congress. But he has failed to stand up to the expectations of the party’s Hindutva ideology.

A booklet released by All India Congress Seva Dal training camp run by the Congress in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh has claimed that co-founder of Hindu Mahasabha Veer Savarkar had a physical relationship with Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin.

Ranjit Savarkar, the grandson of Veer Savarkar, has urged Uddhav Thackeray to beat Rahul Gandhi in public for his polemical statement against his grandfather.

The central government, headed by PM Narendra Modi, has given a reply in writing (in Lok Sabha) stating there is no need for a formal recommendation to award Bharat Ratna award to Veer Savarkar.  Kashmir divisional commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan said that the situation is getting better every passing day in the Valley

The Union government has given a written reply on the issue of awarding Bharat Ratna to freedom fighter Veer Savarkar stating that no formal recommendation is required for awarding the honour.
