Union Minister and BJP Lok Sabha MP candidate from Amethi Smriti Irani turned a fire fighter on Sunday. A huge fire broke out when she was campaigning in Amethi. She went straight to the fire-affected fields in Purab Dwara village where she not only met the locals whose houses were affected but also took part is arranging water to douse the fire. Amethi goes to polls on May 6 where Irani is fighting Congress president Rahul Gandhi.

ANI reported that Banerjee claimed that Prime Minister Modi’s Bengal visits began as he needs votes this election. She was speaking at Asansol, the Lok Sabha constituency of Union Minister Babul Supriyo where Modi campaigned recently.

YS Chowdary, a Rajya Sabha MP of the TDP, is considered close to TDP chief and Andhra CM Naidu. Chowdary was MoS in the Union Cabinet headed by PM Narendra Modi before Naidu quit the NDA early last year over the Centre's refusal to grant special status to Andhra Pradesh.
