The Sabarimala Karma Samithi leaders urged to end the harassment of its activists in the name of breach of law and order. Regarding this protest, the LDF and UDF have accused the Sabarimala Karma Samithi of violating the model code of conduct during Lok Sabha election.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was speaking at a rally in Kozhikode, Kerala. In his speech, Modi said that the only difference between the LDF and UDF are just in their names, and both parties have just been looting Kerala.

LDF Kasaragod constituency secretary and MLA TV Rajesh forwarded the complaint to the chief electoral officer Dr Sajith Babu. According to the complaint, UDF candidate Rajmohan Unnithan demeaned the Supreme Court verdict of September 28 on Sabarimala. In a speech Unnithan said that the LDF government is against believers.

 

The LDF has filed a complaint with the Election Commission accusing UDF candidate MK Raghavan of not disclosing certain details while filing his nomination.

One of the UDF allies is the Indian Union Muslim League, whose flag bears a star and a crescent on it. This was mistaken for Pakistan flags when it was used during a celebration of Rahul Gandhi’s candidature in Wayanad, Kerala.

Left Democratic Front convenor Vijayaraghavan on Monday, while referring to Ramya’s meeting with Indian Union Muslim League leader PK Kunhalikutty said, “A woman candidate met Kunhalikutty after her candidature was announced. I don’t know what will happen to her now.”
 

Ayyappa devotees have been staging protests since October last year with an intention to preserve the tradition. With Lok Sabha election nearing, they have come up with a new strategy that they will vote for only those leaders, who will preserve their Sabarimala.

Congress Working Committee member Oommen Chandy claimed that the CPM is making false statements about the UDF by linking the party with the BJP and countered allegations by stating that it is the Communist Party which has been supporting the BJP.
