Kerala Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala resigned from the post of vice chairman of the Loka Kerala Sabha, an initiative of the state government to unite Keralites from all around the world

Veteran CPM leader P Jayarajan also stated that LDF is a secular force in the state, but many Keralites refused to believe it.

UDF’s Adoor Prakash broke the coalition’s 30-year jinx after he won against LDF’s A Sampath by a margin of 38,247 votes.

 

A Facebook post of a Kerala youth who made predictions of the election results on April 4 went viral on social media.  The youth predicted that the UDF will win 19 out of the 20 seats and stated that the Alappuzha candidate of the UDF will lose in the constituency
 

All the 20 Parliamentary constituencies in Kerala went to polls in the third round of the seven-phased Lok Sabha election on April 23. On counting day, political drama unfolded in several constituencies as UDF stood ahead in the race.

The exit polls too predicted that the UDF will get more than half the seats. In the prestigious Wayanad constituency, Congress President Rahul Gandhi has surged ahead by 1,72,833 votes against his nearest rival PP Suneer of the CPI.

In Kerala’s Kannur, angry CPM workers entered the stage where the UDF candidate Rajmohan Unnithan was giving a speech and detached the microphone of the leader and threw it away 
 

A week ago, the Congress released a video of women casting votes twice in Kerala. On the same day, senior Congress leader and Kannur UDF candidate K Sudhakaran had said that CPM was responsible for the bogus votes cast in Kasaragod and Kannur Lok Sabha constituencies. 
 

Kannur UDF candidate K Sudhakaran during a press meet said Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan is 'chowkidar chor hai'. He also added that in Vijayan's booth, bogus voting took place and the chief minister took no action.
