Three suspected militants have been arrested while they were carrying weapons in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. Reports suggest that a truck carrying the arms has been recovered.

The Unnao rape survivor, lawyer and two aunts were on their way to visit the survivor’s uncle when a truck collided into the car they were travelling in. The rape survivor, is now on ventilator support and she is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken up the probe in the accident that critically injured the Unnao rape survivor. The officials are now investigating into the truck that rammed into her car. The FIR has been filed against BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and 25 others.
 

The army truck was reportedly travelling from Colombo to Jaffna where the truck was passing an unsecured railway crossing line.

The deceased have been identified as ambulance driver Sudhir, Nazar, Favas, Subair, Shafi, Sulaiman. Police are yet to identify two others who were killed in the accident.
 

The deceased are identified as Vijaya Bharati (38), Prasanna (14), Chenna Kesava Reddy (12), Driver Prem Raju (35) and Ankayya (40), residents of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Upon hearing the news of the leakage of diesel from the tanker, which was hit by the tipper truck, people in the area thronged the spot with buckets, containers and bottles to steal the fuel.

Police reported that a truck carrying 15,600 beer bottles caught fire and were destroyed. The driver was left injured.
