Sushil Modi  

Sushil Kumar Modi is an Indian politician and member of the BJP. In the year 1962, he became a member of RSS. He served as Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister in 2005, 2010, and 2017. Presently, he is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Bihar.

Since the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, is also the chairperson of the GST Council, she could not have headed the GoM panel, the GST Council said.
