The Sabarimala verdict has been referred to a larger bench by the Supreme Court. The 2018 saw a 4:1 split verdict but the November 14 saw a 3:2 split verdict with Justice JY Chandrachud and Justice Nariman expressing dissent. 

 

The Supreme Court will announce its verdict on the entry of women in the Sabarimala temple. The top court will also review its judgment into the alleged irregularities in the Rafale jet procurement case. That apart, the apex court will decide upon the case against Rahul Gandhi for his “Chowkidar chor hai’ comment. 
 

Within hours of the Supreme Court verdict, allowing the disgruntled Karnataka MLAs to contest the by-polls, CM BS Yediyurappa announced that the MLAs would join the party.

The Supreme Court has decided to give the disputed land to Ramjanmabhoomi Nays and Centre will form a Trust to build a temple on it. The Apex court said that Muslims will be given an  alternate  land of 5-acres to build Mosque.
