Modi is visiting South Korea on the invitation of President Moon. This is his second visit to the Republic of Korea since 2015 and second summit meeting with the South Korean President.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived on a two-day visit to South Korea on Thursday to strengthen India's strategic ties with the country. He will be  honoured with the Seoul Peace Prize 2018 for his remarkable contribution to develop the economy in India and the world through 'Modinomics'.
 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is the first Indian to receive the Seoul Peace Prize, will be conferred with a plaque and an honorarium cash prize. He is the 14th recipient of the prize.

South Korean first lady Kim Jung-sook attended the record-breaking event after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a four-day visit to India.
